یہ ہے مسجد الاقصیٰ کی مکمل اور مختصر تاریخ اردو میں: --- 📍 تعارف مسجد الاقصیٰ اسلام کا تیسرا مقدس ترین مقام ہے (پہلا مسجد الحرام مکہ، دوسرا مسجد نبوی مدینہ)۔ یہ فلسطین کے شہر یروشلم (القدس) کے قدیم حصے میں واقع ہے۔ قرآن میں سورۃ بنی اسرائیل کی پہلی آیت میں اسی مسجد کا ذکر ’’المسجد الاقصیٰ‘‘ کے نام سے آیا ہے۔ --- 🕰️ تاریخی پس منظر تعمیر کی ابتدا: اسلامی روایات کے مطابق حضرت آدمؑ نے سب سے پہلی بار مسجد الحرام بنائی اور کچھ عرصہ بعد مسجد الاقصیٰ کی بنیاد رکھی گئی۔ حضرت ابراہیمؑ اور ان کے بیٹے حضرت اسحاقؑ و حضرت یعقوبؑ کے دور میں یہ مقام عبادت کے طور پر موجود تھا۔ حضرت سلیمانؑ کا دور: حضرت سلیمانؑ (سلیمان نبی) نے اس جگہ ایک عظیم عبادت گاہ (ہیکل سلیمانی) تعمیر کی جو بعد میں تباہ بھی ہوئی۔ حضرت محمد ﷺ کا سفر معراج: 621 عیسوی میں آپ ﷺ کا واقعۂ اسراء و معراج پیش آیا۔ قرآن کہتا ہے کہ آپ ﷺ مسجد حرام سے مسجد اقصیٰ لے جائے گئے اور پھر آسمانوں پر گئے۔ اسی وجہ سے یہ مسجد مسلمانوں کے لئے مقدس ہے۔ اسلامی فتح: 638 عیسوی میں حضرت عمر بن خطابؓ نے یروشلم فتح کیا۔ انہوں نے اس جگہ کو صاف کروا کر مسجد بنوائی۔ اموی خلیفہ عبدالملک بن مروان (685–705 عیسوی): انہوں نے مسجد الاقصیٰ کے ساتھ قبة الصخرہ (Dom of the Rock) تعمیر کروایا۔ عباسی و فاطمی دور: کئی بار زلزلوں اور جنگوں سے مسجد متاثر ہوئی، بار بار مرمت اور توسیع کی گئی۔ صلاح الدین ایوبی (1187ء): جب صلیبی جنگوں میں یروشلم قبضے میں چلا گیا تو مسجد کو چرچ میں بدل دیا گیا تھا۔ صلاح الدین ایوبی نے شہر آزاد کروا کر مسجد الاقصیٰ کو مسلمانوں کے لئے بحال کیا۔ --- 🕌 موجودہ حیثیت آج مسجد الاقصیٰ تقریباً 144,000 مربع میٹر پر پھیلی ہوئی ہے اور اس کے اندر کئی چھوٹے چھوٹے مساجد و مقامات ہیں، جیسے: قبۃ الصخرہ (سنہری گنبد والا حصہ) مسجد قبلی (اصل نماز پڑھنے والی جگہ) مروانی مسجد باب الرحمة یہ مقام آج بھی فلسطینی مسلمانوں کے زیر انتظام ہے، مگر اس کے اردگرد اسرائیلی قبضہ ہے جس کی وجہ سے یہ مقام اکثر خبروں میں رہتا ہے۔ --- ✨ اسلامی اہمیت اسلام میں پہلا قبلہ مسجد الاقصیٰ تھا، پھر قبلہ مسجد الحرام مکہ کی طرف کر دیا گیا۔ یہاں نماز پڑھنے کا ثواب بہت زیادہ ہے (ایک حدیث کے مطابق 500 گنا)۔ یہ انبیاء علیہم السلام کی سرزمین ہے۔ --- کیا آپ چاہیں گے میں مسجد الاقصیٰ کی ایک وضاحتی تصویر/ڈایاگرام بھی بنا دوں جس میں اس کے مختلف حصے (قبۃ الصخرہ، مسجد قبلی وغیرہ) دکھائے گئے ہوں؟ Here’s the history of Al-Aqsa Mosque in English: --- 📍 Introduction Al-Aqsa Mosque is the third holiest site in Islam (after the Kaaba in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah). It is located in the Old City of Jerusalem (Al-Quds). The Qur’an mentions it in Surah Al-Isra (17:1) as “Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa.” --- 🕰️ Historical Background Earliest Construction: Islamic tradition says that after the Kaaba, Al-Aqsa was the second mosque established on earth for worship. Prophets like Abraham (Ibrahim), Isaac (Ishaq), and Jacob (Yaqub) prayed here. Prophet Solomon (Sulaiman): He rebuilt a magnificent temple on this spot, known as the Temple of Solomon. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ – Isra and Mi‘raj: In 621 CE, during the Night Journey, the Prophet ﷺ was taken from the Sacred Mosque in Makkah to Al-Aqsa and from there ascended to the heavens. This is why the mosque is so sacred to Muslims. Islamic Conquest: In 638 CE, Caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab conquered Jerusalem. He cleaned the area and built a mosque there. Umayyad Caliph Abd al-Malik (685–705 CE): He built the Dome of the Rock next to Al-Aqsa, and his son al-Walid expanded the mosque itself. Earthquakes & Repairs: Over centuries, earthquakes and wars damaged the mosque many times; Muslim rulers repeatedly restored it. Crusaders & Salahuddin Ayyubi (1187 CE): During the Crusades, the mosque was converted into a church and headquarters for the Knights Templar. After Salahuddin retook Jerusalem, he restored it as a mosque for Muslims. --- 🕌 Current Layout Today the whole compound—about 144,000 square meters—is called Al-Haram al-Sharif (“the Noble Sanctuary”). It includes: Al-Qibli Mosque (the main prayer hall) Dome of the Rock (with the golden dome) Marwani Mosque Bab al-Rahma area --- ✨ Islamic Significance It was the first Qiblah (direction of prayer) for Muslims before it changed to Makkah.
